2025 Summary
The Cardinal year for 2025 is over and Comrade Manzi has handed over to Steve Eastman for 2026. Steve’26 is keeping everyone in suspense over his “C” name, not to mention the shirts for 2026.
At the start of the year Su Ann and Kinglsey went to Alumni status and during the year said goodbye to A-A-Ron who returned to the US of A and we welcomed Tristan. We had JW and Jesper spend more time out of country than in it and with Cardinal’s usual commitments we were on average 5 flights a week.
Our first contest of the year was the Pairs and the winners were Matt P and Cookie who defeated last year’s reigning champs Jimmy and Kimmy 1Up.
Next came the Challenge Cup over the Ryder Cup weekend which was won by the ROW team captained by Comrade Manzi 6 points to EUR team captained by Nico 4 points. The Captains for 2026 are Cookie and Big Olli.
Tour this year was in Hua Hin and the cup for the weekend was won by Buffy and his “Buffers Fluffers”.
As the year came to a close we got the Singles finished after our end of year Christmas Party and the winner was Big Olli who defeated Buffy 1Up.
We kept it straight forward in 2025 with league points coming from the weekly stableford only. And our winner for 2025 was Christopher Brankin. Well done Branks, no amateurs for the year and a consistent scoring year with one of the highest average stableford points per week.
The last round of the year was won by C4, the esteemed Grumpy Santa Stableford, and we settled the end of year divisions with the following winners:

B Div: C4
C Div: JW
